🎹 Welcome to the Piano Studio of Miss Elaine

I have always loved the piano. It has been a lifelong source of joy, creativity, and connection—and I’m honored to share that with students of all ages. I’ve been fortunate to learn from many wonderful teachers, and I can’t imagine my life without playing piano or teaching it.

🧒 Who I Teach

My students range in age from 5 to 80, and from complete beginners to advanced intermediate-level pianists. Every student is unique, and I tailor each lesson to their learning style, ability, and personal goals.

Whether you're just starting out or returning to piano after years away, you'll find a supportive and encouraging environment here.

🎓 Teaching Philosophy

My teaching centers on fostering a genuine interest in music, helping students develop intrinsic motivation that lasts a lifetime. Lessons are student-centered, with a focus on building confidence, creativity, and skill step by step.

I see myself as a champion for my students—celebrating their achievements and guiding them to new milestones with positivity and care.

Over time, lessons include:

Reading music fluently
Counting and rhythm training
Technique and healthy posture
Music theory connected to repertoire
Ear training and listening skills
Improvisation and composition
Memorization and performance
Ensemble playing and duets
Recording and using music technology

I emphasize rhythm, aural awareness, theory in context, and encourage creative expression through composition and improvisation.

🌟 Beyond Lessons

Students have opportunities to:

Perform in studio recitals (2–3 times a year)
Participate in Festivals, Guild Auditions, and contests
Prepare for school recitals and talent shows
Attend and appreciate local music and arts events

I believe music should be shared, and I encourage students to engage with their community through music.
